Jazz is originate from America in the beginning of 20 century. It’s born in the south port city New Orleans. The music foundation is from Blues and Ragtime. Jazz is particular about impromptu and based in Shuffle rhythm. It’s the combination of Africa black people culture and white people culture. In 1917, Jazz spread to Chicago. In 1930, It spread to New York. Today, Jazz music is popular all over the world.

Compare to other music, Jazz has many unique points. It’s always improvisation. The melody of music is using Blues scale. The chord of Jazz id based on traditional chord but the unique point is from Blues chord. The instrument of Jazz is totally different from traditional band. Saxophone ,trombone and trumpet are main instruments of Jazz.

There are many kinds of Jazz, like New Orleans Traditional Jazz, The Original Dixieland Jazz Band, Big Band, Swing, Bebop, West Coast Cool Jazz ,Jazz-Rock&Fusion, Neo-Bop&Post-Modern Bop, bossa-nova, Jazz Funk, Acid Jazz. Jazz music is acted in so many forms and every forms are all important. They all keeps own characteristic. If we want to listen Jazz, we should love all kinds of Jazz.
